Superfood 101

Like in our article on adaptogens, we are keen to point out that what we call Superfoods are not medical resources and should not be used for curative purposes.

That being said, once again, we are convinced that these Super Ingredients are gems of our beautiful planet, that a preventive use and an approach of “soft medicine” provide unique benefits to our bodies (even if they are not a substitute for a healthy and balanced diet).

The official definition of Superfood is “a food rich in nutrients, considered to be particularly beneficial in terms of health and well-being”.

Superfoods are fruits, seaweed, roots, plants, herbs, fungi and are naturally and particularly rich in essential nutrients, vitamins, amino acids and antioxidants.

The interest for us is that their benefits are not limited to the body and the proper functioning of the organism, but also to well-being and cognitive functions - which makes them a fabulous asset for making an alternative to coffee!
